Gregg

It's a pleasure to see you coming back to the Q's board again. As a late comer to the Q's message board(although not Q) I really regret missing the opportunity to talk to you much earlier.

Now I would like to hear your takes on how strong a case that IFN can present in the future.

Thanks

Gregg: Thanks for sharing your thoughts on G*. In particular, I was very interested in your comments about the FAA's initiatives to command GPS positioning for airplanes. It has been my belief that E911 for wireless will be one of the key factors for G*'s success as the government enforces higher security for the transportation industry.

It would be nice to see G* gain some kind of exposure with the Wincast JV. The On Star program with GM and Motorola mentioned that it will combine terrestrial and satellite telephony. I would think that G* could offer competitive advantages if they incorporated both high speed data and GPS positioning. Does Globalstar have the ability to incorporate SnapTrack's GPS technology that will be introduced with the MSM 3300?

In general, I have been unsure if G* can upgrade from cdmaOne to QCOM recent upgrades. Will G* benefit from the upgrade from cdmaOne to 1X MC CDMA and HDR? I did notice that G* made comments to the effect that they would be able to increase their data speeds up to 500 kbps. However, I cannot pretend to understand how the data upgrades will be handled. Any insights that you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
