Option orders seem to be relatively illiquid to me. I recently bought a AMD 2003 LEAP call spread. I bought the 50 strike price call and sold the 120. The day before I bought it I tied to buy it. I put in a limit order at 14 7/8. The quotes from my broker showed the spread going down to 14 3/8 and then to 14 1/2 and back several times, but I was never filled. It turns out to be a good thing as I was filled at 13 7/8 the next day, but still it seems odd that my order did not go through it still seems strange that it did not execute.
