No system works the way I think a system should work. The Scandinavian systems are closest- but I like the idea of basic healthy foods and forced education on people who want to receive benefits. If they don't take advantage of the benefits (ie if they refuse to learn) they still get fed, but they will be stuck in the paternal system until they become self-sufficient. The Scandinavian systems are TOO cushy. I want something in between what THEY have and what WE have. I don't think the murder rate or crime rate in any of those countries comes close to ours- right?
