hi jack
i couldn't agree more. i hate to leave the computer when i have active trades. the market turns on a dime and i freely admit that i don't want any big losses at the moment since i am seeing smaller gains.

Just a few musings before I go to town and suck down some barley and practice singing: La La La:)

I use both P&F and Candles. More proficient at P&F but know just about enough of both to get myself in trouble.

I use P&F and this thread along with several others to evaluate the overall market, but more importantly the sectors. I think if you stick with the leaders in a sector that is in favor you are much ahead of the game.

I can name you many stocks that are way undervalued that will be dead money for ages because of the sector they are in or worse you will lose money because people will be selling your stock to buy a tech because the SOX turned up! I really think that the sector and overall market is the first place to look as in should I be in this sector or not, or should I be short or long. Lets face it if the Nas is sick it's going to be a whole lot easier to find a profitable short then it is to find a long.

Right now I think Semi's for awhile but I really think that watching the nuts for a turnaround is giong to be a good play. Sector is oversold (doesn't mean that they can't get more oversold) but odds are from here that up is their next direction. Watch the leaders to jump aboard or watch the 2nd tier stocks to catch the bottoms after the leaders turn.

Sorry for rambling but I have been watching the pain both here and at another site and it bothers me. I don't know that this market is tougher or people are not being flexable and insist on being long losing issues or what the deal is. Just hope that we can all figure it out.

Remember it is not how much you can win, but how little you lose that matters. There is no happiness or sadness with a trade. Pure numbers win or lose.
