Joe <Otherwise, AMD would not have a CPU for people who want to spend $1,000 for CPU.>

Who WANTS to spend $1,000 for a CPU? If AMD can raise the sweetspot and lower the costs, they could put themselves in a very good situation and Intel would feel the pain. Intel is structuring their CPU's CPU (cost per unit) around their 700-800Mhz units - since that's what they're producing the most of right now. They'd have to drop those costs to compete with AMD and they would be in a world of hurt. If the majority of AMD's processors really ARE yielding 900+, niceguys predictions may very well come true.
