Hey jaytee Gemstar has an incredibly profitable business model. They have very few employees, but they have a multitude of patents for interactive TV, program guides, and the potential for ad revenues is huge. Also, they aggressively defend their patent revenues. Check out the GMST thread here on SI, it is excellent. I believe "the market" really likes their story also. I just write covered calls on them, tomorrow I am sure that I will be called out on my Aug 65's. After this week being fairly positive, I look for GMST to fall back into the 60's and will write again...ATM or just slightly OTM. They usually offer premiums between 12%-14%.
