LOL,

Come on Joe,

My ASUS K7V has four fan ports! (The manual only speaks of three, but there are four in the picture in the manual also)

The available slots are few though.

My AGP4x port blocks slot1, so I only have 4 more free PCI slots and no ISA slots. I don't know about the wasted audio modem riser card/slot. A waste of time in my book. Another PCI or ISA would have been nice.

At the time, ASUS was the best in the reviews. ABIT was having problems, but now they have those fixed in the BIOS and the ABIT is the better board now.

Only a heatsink on part of my chipset. No fan.

steve

Joe,
RE:"Abit KT7 RAID"
Is that a SCSI or IDE RAID controller?

Jim

Joe

It looks like I am replacing my Athlon with a 700 MHz Duron and a new motherboard. The owner of the screwdriver shop that I go to said he has no problem getting Durons and motherboards but its the T-bird that he is having problems with. I didn't have time to ask more but will when I see him. I can't believe how cheap the Duron is.
