you may be right re. oil...in spite of the recent first red flags, it may well spike higher still, especially as the winter season approaches. i'm waiting for the metals to break free as well. it won't be much longer now. Timet has recently raised titanium alloy prices by 12%.

regarding the dollar, there's a huge overhang...almost $3 trillion of US debt are held by foreigners. if anybody should get nervous about the dollar, a torrent could break loose. note, the ECB doesn't have a choice anymore: it MUST begin to support the Euro, unless it wants to risk run-away inflation in the Euro zone.

so the stage is basically set for the chickens coming home to roost...the question is only, WHEN exactly...
