The networks should be required to transmit each convention by blocking out the programmed applause and laughter. Almost all of the so-called positive viewer response was triggered by the claptrack. This would probably be the death of the presidential conventions since they're just two long ads.

NBC overnight poll shows Gore takes lead from Bush. Looks like Gore did hit a home run. We will have a close election. My prediction: Democrats take the House.
