I wouldn't want to give you any advice on whether or not to hold your breath but I will take issue with your premise that JDSU and CIEN have been pushed up while MRVC has been ignored. See:http://www.siliconinvestor.com/research/comp_chart.gsp?cs=MRVC&cs=CIEN&cs=JDSU&cs=&cs=&cs=&cs=&n=100&p=day

Renard;

I believe for just the reasons you mentioned that the street doesn't know how to take MRVC.

Most of us agree that the management lacks Wall Street know how, but they are an extraordinary group of engineers.

The fact that institutions have come aboard in force leads me to believe that those smarter than I have faith in this company.

When the quiet periods are over and MRVC begins to get the coverage they need, and they have one success, most doubts will probably be erased.

It's to our advantage that we can own this company at such low prices because we are daring to believe now.

Regards, Bill

<<...The street is not stupid. They will smell an unusually good opportunity and reward it...>>

I respectfully disagree. The "Street" IS stupid, cares only about momentum, and misses great opportunities all of the time.

Just ask the oldtimers on this thread. Based on a preannouncement of a 10% decline in profits, the Street trashed MRVC and the stock languished for a full year at $6 per share ( $3 pre-split)

Other examples can be cited every day. I hang out mostly in the "oil patch." Wednesday of this week, the "Street" sold off certain oil service stocks by almost 10%. Yesterday, they bid them back up 12% intraday. No news either day. Stupid clear and simple. But it presents us potential investors with great opportunities.

MRVC right now is one of those opportunities.

Bruce

<<If this company is such a great potential as the optimists on this thread proclaim, where the hell is the result in terms of the stock price.>>
what the heck are you talking about???!!! I guess going from $7 to $70 in the last 12months is your example of poor stock performance? or is it going from $21 to $70 in 2 months? there is absolutely no logic to this statement. as for analysts not covering, we've discussed this many times on this thread.... analysts don't like to do the work. there are "easier" stories in this sector. regardless of analyst coverage, the stock has increased 1000%. hard to argue with that kind of success over a DECADE, let alone one year (heck, some people don't see that kind of performance over MANY decades).

I understand your frustration however keep in mind this stock has gone from around $7/share to $67/share (and over $95 at one point.) Although I miss that period of time when it would jump by double digits...I also don't miss the times it would go into freefall. IMHO we're in good shape and coming into a good time for the markets.
