Meph, A Ponzi scheme is where old investors are paid off with money from new investors. The analogy to todays market is old investors and insiders are selling their shares to newcomers- baby brats and corporate share repurchases. A country cannot run a trade and current account deficit indefinity at some point the dollar must decline and interest rates rise due to the inadequate savings in the US. IMO AG is a major part of the problem not the solution due to his reckless easy money policies. I will post a relevant link explaining this position. Mike
