RBL, I haven't listened to the CC yet, this weekend I'll find the replay link and see what mgmt has to say.
Did read the earning release and there were no surprises on the eps side.
I decided some time ago to play this as a long (I bought a fair amt in my taxable acct in the April/May) and not flip it. My rational is that unlike the dreamcast launch the sony launch will result in 4-7 times the amount of new hardware (not counting Xbox and Dolphine) within 12 months. Well as we know EB makes it off the accessories and games, thus I envision a revenue surge beginning in Oct (with weak margins likely), however game revenue should build through out the year as the installed base of new hardware grows and game makes issue new titles.
I'm tempted to buy some decent research on this sector and see how the analysts project it going forward, but the bottom line is this sector should accelerate (similar to what the PC industry saw going from the 386-486 or Pentium).
I did buy THDO (gamer) when it tanked (along with erts, atvi, thqi and others). I had been thinkking of thqi, but went with thdo. While its been a good decision it appears thdo is lagging thqi, atvi. I view this as temporary as thdo's new titles are expected for Nov 1st and Dec and going forward.
Should elbo hit 30+ around the launch I may flip a portion, with the attitude of buying some back (if it pulls back)..we see.
This should be a interesting sector over the next 6-18 months.
Good luck

BTW let hope the Kims don't lighten up as they did last fall.
