I am struggling with severe depression as a Texan. I wanted so much to love Bush. He is so cute and his mom is so nice.

It's sort of like having one of the family do something embarrassing and you really can't say much out of family loyalty. Although I really don't see that Texas is that much worse off than it was with Ann, and at least we don't have to look at her hair. A friend of mine worked on her campaign and said that she wraps it up at night and it never moved-- ever. It was specially designed to withstand a Texas tornado.

Hey! I thought I was very NICE about Al! He's not responsible for the directing and staging, is he? His part was to try to look human. And you know, the couple of times he smiled, he really looked NICE.

I missed the Rep. COnvention completely as I was in Mexico, or I would oblige you willingly with my astute political observations. (I know you have observed my amazing grasp of politics) I imagine it was very similar (Dan says he thinks Dems and Reps use the same people on the floor-- sort of like professional mourners)
Anyway, I'll be sure to watch the debates, if I can hear them over Dan's commentary.

So I'm walking around with an unclaimed vote in my sweaty hand, waiting for a White Knight candidate to swoop down and save me. Someone who represents ME and all my stati quo.
