Scumbria:

School's still out on that one...AMD seems to have a head of steam on large volume and has lots of headroom on any comparative basis (i.e Agilent $0.31 and $57, AMD $1.21 and $70)...One step at a time...Let's see if it can break through $70.50 for a starter...

Scumbria,

Re: It looks like max-pain of $70 is going to win again this month.

Isn't that something? Third month in a row that I have followed max pain, and it has been a really good short-term predictor of AMD moves heading into options expiration. June and July the pressure was down, and August up --for a change. I am very skeptical about anything close of being a 'sure thing' in the stock market ... But on this one, I have to concede. And now that I'm starting to believe in max pain, I'm sure it's going to stop working and bite me back!

Has anyone followed max pain for a longer period? Has it usually been this reliable ?
