Storage over IP is already being done by CMNT, which is the best position to gauge genuine demand. The demand currently seems to be limited because a lot of corporations seem to have higher priorities. Much of the interest in SOIP is coming from the dotcoms and xSPs. You can sort of guess what the bloodied disk drive makers think of this one after all the money they've invested in FC over the last few years. I think SEG is ready to roll out its FC drives with the 2 Gbps interface. And that appears to be that....for now.
