re: FCX & The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

...looks like a great sign that the "political" bottom is in for FCX imho.

I'm surprised that the stocks hasn't responded positively.

Imo; FCX remains one of the great value's here.

Perhaps XAU-wise; we may see one final capitulation blow off to XAU 45ish; if the Fed passes next week & remaining economic news remains benign.

I hope so - I'm waiting with open arms for XAU 45.

No one believes the BSL stats, everyone's looking in the rear view mirror at inflation - not forward & of course $30+ Oil & the coming record heating cost & food don't count... tremendous unfactored labor cost pressure's from union's unfolding as we speak.

Great opp coming in the XAU - I don't feel we've really seen that final capitualtion yet - maybe in late Aug - Sept - if the market ramps off of no Fed action & enters another euphoria run thru the elections ?

Mid 2001 - the story changes imo - as the New Bush admin will be facing inflationary reality & begins to hike rates again.

I think the Gold tide turns by mid 2001.

We shall see.
