I have clients and friend who live in the South (Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Texas) and thus have both personal and business acquaintance on a regular basis with the way women are treated. I don't agree with your assessment. I find the treatment of women, especially in Florida no better or worse than in any of the more "enlightened" areas of this country. As for naked bodies in the woods, unfortunately, women are abused and murdered by sick men every day in all parts of this country. This is not limited to "the South". Bad things happen to good people everyday but that's all about our sick society and those bad people, not geography. JLA

Alex, you do have a bent for drama. I have lived in Florida for 44 years and haven't seen any of what you talk about. Of course, you may travel in different circles. I think Jeb Bush is doing a very fine job as Governor. I am starting to think you don't like our fine state. By the way, our Secretary of State is a woman. The President of our Senate is a woman. My wife pretty well has me figured out so that I, in most cases, yield to her wishes. All I can say is you must be a bad neighborhood. LOL
