Yes, but once you're done, make sure you format the right drive.

Make sure when you install this drive that is in NOT C:. It should be D: or E: etc.. depending if your existing C: is partitioned.

Some computers you buy from stores have the C: partitioned like Compaq Presario's. I guess D: is used for tech support or recover.

Just make sure you format the right drive if something goes wrong.
