Based on a quick calculation, one would need to earn $501,765.52 in income to pay $12,000.00 in FICA tax. You must have some highly paid 25 year olds working for you.

Lizzie,
What type of businesswoman are you? You have given all kind of points. You said earlier that you didn't like GWB's SS plan, yet he's proposed something that would be ideal for employees like you have. Gore is the one who wants to leave SS untouched. Your employees are too RICH for him to fight for them. Aside from that, to answer your question, they probably won't get a darn thing for their FICA taxes. The system will be bankrupt by the time they are 70, or it may be 80 by the time they are able to partake in the broken system. I have opted out of the workforce and am able to live off investment income. I have my requisite quarters in, but even at 40, I don't ever plan on receiving any checks from the Social Security Administration unless I am unfortunate and become disabled.knc

At 25 I didn't pay much FICA as I was still in school. I managed to spend 7 years in college & grad school without becoming a doctor (a la Tommy Boy). Anyway, according to the dems, I am the enemy (and people like me, except many seem to have some money). I work many long days, have 4 kids, one starting college, try to keep the IRS from climbing up my backside with a microscope, and I have become the enemy of "the people." Unfricking believable (a la Austin Powers ;^) ). I wish I made enough to pay $12K in FICA each year.
