dunno that they even need a buyout ... they are a good company on their own merits

While I still believe it's possible for IBM to nab BMCS, I don't think that's causing the recent upward momentum. I believe that when BMCS crashed, many took a "get out now and wait for a bottom" posture.

Well, we clearly hit some sort of bottom in the $16+ range, then stabilized a bit above there. Now that the waters seem somewhat safe again, many bottom fishers seem to be jumping back in. Who knows how far this could carry us though. My guess is $30 or so.

One piece of supporting empirical data is that CA has also begun to move up as of late. Not quite as strongly as good ole BMCS, but upward none-the-less.
