Re:Please don't play "where's you link" games with me

Pravin,

Speaking of where's your link there was a link posted just a couple of days ago showing that AMD had 55% of retail notebook sales. Sorry I can't find it. I don't know how many notebooks are sold through the retail chains but 55% sounds like quite a few K6-2's to me.

Pravin, of course I'm going to ask for links, or at least qualification of such statements.

The use of the passive voice ("Retail evidence suggests...") lends an objective, authoritative tone to the statement. Were there an analyst report, or other source of such a statement, I'd want to know about it, and I'd want to know how they reached this conclusion.

Even if it's just your opinion, based on a few trips to the local CompUSA, I'd be interested, as long as I know that those trips formed the basis of your conclusions.

So, if you like, don't consider it a 'where's your link?' request, but rather, a 'please provide more information about this conclusion, who drew it, and what data they used to get there' request.

Isn't that fair game?
