rewhy don't men see?

A friend of my fiance's has been telling us for months that his wife goes less and less places with him, moved into another bedroom, wanting "to sleep sounder" etc etc etc. I could see the writing on the wall and told him to be careful: I couldn't say "she is getting ready to divorce you" because what did I know?
Now she is leaving. But we have found out that two months ago when his mother died and left him her house his wife asked to be put on the deed. Like an idiot he complied. Now of course she wants half the house, or half what it is worth.
We told him to see if he can get the very recent "gift" to her reversed as obviously it was fraud on her part. But it is difficult getting him to go to an attorney as he still "hopes" (in spite of this duplicity) that she will change her mind.
And he is a very very kind, mild mannered, "nice" person.
Sigh.
