Thanks for the update on the Asian scene. In the U.S. the earliest adaptors of HDR are likely to be PCS and Nextel, or someone else?? TIA for any comment. :) I'm glad to finally make a contribution to this thread....I've been mostly freeloading for over a year. HDR is likely to be the upgrade of choice for the US CDMA operators....this means PCS, Verizon, US West and Alltel (to name the largest). Nextel uses a proprietary TDMA system called iDEN....HDR could be overlayed but it's not likely in the near-term. Unfortunately most of the US wireless operators are as slow-moving as their wireline counterparts. We are way behind the rest of the world in innovative features on the wireless network. Verizon is still 60% analog....most of the rest of the world has stopped using analog. I'm hoping that the business case for adoption of HDR is so compelling that it cant be ignored. Qualcomm claims that HDR will be a profitable way to provide broadband access for a flat-rate of less than $40. If this is true.....adoption would occur pretty quickly. Slacker
