The difference is the socialists of the Politically Correct have power. The theo-fascists of the Christian Right, as you call them, have no power.

The christian right, however, does not dominate the Republican Party like the socialists dominate the Democratic Party. Almost every "new" idea proposed by Al Gore empowers the government and increases its control at the expense of individual freedoms. It was also frightening to hear speakers and delegates calmly talking about increasing the police by 100,000 to 150,000 and building MORE prisons. I guess they would need that after they continue to campaign to make more and more things that were legal into crimes. FT
