AMD's 1st Half 2001 in the bag...

channel.intel.com

This link is intel's for updated desktop roadmap through 1H 2001 for OEMS (see fine print). Workstation and server roadmaps are linked from the same page. Notice that Willy isn't slated for any systems under $2000 through the first half of 2001. Also 0.13 Coppermines fail to appear (although they are "hinted" at in the laptop roadmap).

We can infer from this that AMD will rule the $1000-$2000 system price ranges with volumes 1GHz plus chips.

Other amusing observations:

Itanium fails to rise above 800MHz in the 1st half of 2001.

Timna never gets it's own "box-" instead the Celeron is always perched right on top, kind of like a vulture.

Foster and Itanium still seem to be using the same chipset. Does this make sense?
