a couple of thoughts on this -

"but when i transfer the HTML file to the website just the text that ive written shows up, a space is where the chart should be. Ive gotten around this by making the chart a .jpg instead "

Metastock creates a .png format chart by default. Be sure to transfer this .png file along with the .htm file when you upload. Some browsers may not handle .png files correctly, so .jpg may be a reasonable option, it's just a radio button choice when you have MS 'save as HTML'.

When I was posting charts, I used MS Photo Editor to convert from .png to .gif files which I know can be read by all browsers, but no one complained about the .png files either, so maybe it wasn't necessary.

I used Netscape composer for the little bit of HTML I did. I don't recommend it for anything very complex.

One of the best HTML editors I've used is from Evrsoft (http://www.evrsoft.com). You can download it from zdnet.com since their download link doesn't seem to be active at the moment.

You do have to know some HTML however, but it's fast, can import Web pages from the Net, and allows you to create tight, clean HTML code.

It's also free.

regards,
Mark.
