hi tc,

i found this in a liveupdate readme file...

"Logging and Error Reporting
LiveUpdate now keeps a log of all its recent activity. This log file is located in the "All Users" application data folder on your machine."

this should be just what the doctor ordered. the "all users" folder is in your windows directory. when you browse to the symantec lu folder, you'll find the most recent download log. open it in notepad or some such.

among other things to look for, one line that might be telling is one like this:

"DOWNLOAD_BATCH_FINISH: HR: 0x0 , Num Successful: 1"

[edit: in addition, the product.catalog files look very informative, though a bit deep <g>]

hope this helps

:)
