GE will not settle for second best. What do you make of it?

good point...GE definitely strives to be #1 and not less than #2 in any venture.

i have not been able to get a handle on nitres role in this.
i have heard they were involved with ge too...but cannot verify that....surprisingly the nitres web site is still up...even though cree has completed acquiring them. you can see what they admitted being involved in here.

nitres.com

a search under...http://www.creelighting.com/
takes you to the cree homepage...maybe they are going to rename the nitres website "cree lighting" and keep it.

another little tidbit i picked up is that nearly all of the significant and highly trained SiC engineers in the world already work for cree and love it. raleigh/durham is a great place to live offering moderate weather, great schools and universities, lower taxes and property values than california, and is close to many recreational lakes, the beach and the mountains.
