Wayne,

OT: I think we can pretty much say that almost "no one" is watching gold anymore- look at the "open interest" chart on that Privateer page you quoted. If you or CC ever come out bearish about gold, I am gonna buy a boatload <g>. That will be the day that hell freezes over LOL. You sound a little bearish on silver, perhaps I should acquire some LOL.

I can't wait to play the techs short and grab the money from the "siliconaires". Me, CC, you and Fleckenstein of course...

As for the Privateer: excellent analysis as usual (being the goldbug that I am), mind you I disagree about the rate hike. I think Greenie will keep the neutral bias until after the election at least. If Gore gets in the market will drop immediately. If Bush gets in, the market may last a while.

The Canadian Press perspective on the US election is quite interesting: the National Post has a piece on how boring the candidates etc are. I love the part where they write about how Gore said he invented the Internet and was asked a few times more by the interviewer if he really invented the Internet and responded "Yes" each time. What an ass. He makes Quayle look like a genius. Two spoiled brats on the ballot this year. I'd rather have Clinton back than risk either one of these goofs <g>...
