<to put to use the most energy in the most efficient way possible.>

Ok, that fits very well with my thoughts.

<LOL..... Well now that you think I'm completely nuts ......You should at least admit that I have stripped away all of my [pro human ]biases.>

Yes I would agree biases are gone, but if your nuts I am to.

<What bothers me about all this is evolutions striving for beauty......Can'tsee how this fits in>

I find this easy. If you think about it, much of what we think of as beautiful are examples of brilliant uses of energy. Or lets say stimuli causing the desired reaction, another type of energy use.

We are attracted to this beauty because it creates a necessary reaction. Men are attracted to women, reproduction. Bees are attracted to flowers, reproduction. You get the idea.

If the basic rules of THE LAW are as you say " simply attempts to put to use the most energy in the most efficient way possible", then we would inherently lean toward items that appeared to be doing this well. That WOULD BE our definition of beauty.

I think...Ha.

The idea of success is relative to the unit. The trillions of beings inhabiting our body have their ideas on that score. We, as a larger construct of all these forms of life, have our ideas on that score. My community has its idea, and may hang me someday because I don't assist its structural integrity. Success can only be truly addressed, if we conceptualize the largest and most complete totality--that being the Universe, or God if one prefers.

After all isn't this what evolution is striving for?
I would argue that evolution isn't striving for anything, it's just something that happens.
