Forms 144

Does anyone have access to a service which reveals the details of Forms 144?

They notify the SEC of intention to sell within 90 days. Usually, in NETP's case, the party filing sells on the day of the filing or within 48 hours.

Forms 144 have been filed on the following days:

July 26, 27
August 8,10,11,15

The July sales were by Vulcan Ventures. By my calculations (detailed in a previous post using public filings) they left VV with more than 800,000 shares. The date might have been chosen to take advantage of relative strength at the time when quarterly results were announced.

I do not know the seller or the amounts for August. At first sight, the dates are strange. A potential seeler would know that August would be the weakest of months for sector prices and the month with the lowest volume. Given that there is no bad news from NETP and lots of good news, it would appear that the seller or sellers were highly motivated by other factors - perhaps by the need to raise cash for other opportunities during this season of low prices.

Victor - I still have in the back of my mind that fee lease fee written off last quarter and now hearing the great quarter coming. Couple that with this analyst meeting and the overall indications that NETP was figuring on the cruddy summer (maybe they even thought VV might unload some more, as they have), and now I'm wondering if everything is truly being set up for Q3 & Q4. I have to check into that fee for sure and find out if they HAD to take it. But then again, with their conservative nature I assume they would have taken anyway. I still can't believe they are actually touting profits in Q2, either they're loosening up, or they know their plan and where they're going with it.

They certainly seem confident on their future sales growth and profits.
