Elmer,"Couple this with AMD's apparent yield problems and you have a potentially serious situation" I can’t see Jerry telling the analyst that there would not be a price war during the CC and a month later making drastic price cuts especially so close to the rollout of the Tbird and the Duron and with the Dresden Fab operating at less than 50%. If I were AMD stockholder I think I would be a little antsy. I am not sure I would blindly accept that “Volume is our vaccine against the Intel venom”. Herb

Elmer, Couple this with AMD's apparent yield problems Couple this with Elmer's obvious FUD problem, and you can see that Intel is just about to take a serious hit from AMD's superior Athlon design. Scumbria

Can someone tell me in what way AMD's actions differ from a price war? Sure. AMD doesn't start price wars. Only Intel does. Frank
