After I return from my weekly Saturday session with my shrink, the lugubrious but always luminous Doc Kronkite, I spend an hour or so over scones and tea with Dortmunder, my trading partner to discuss the week...the successes and failures.

"So" the little guy with with the clipped British accent, Saville Row three piece suit and 187 IQ asked, carefully masticating a flown-in from Bermuda scone..."What was your best trade this week."

"ONXX" I said. "Bought it right...bought the bull-flag."

"And what was your worst trade?" he continued.

"ONXX. Sold it far too soon. I had quite a few shares, took it for 3 1/2 points around 28 3/4...then it ran to $35" I said sheepishly.

"I've observed that you fall into that trap often."

"Tis sad, but true" I admitted.

"Perhaps you might have held 100 or 200 shares and used a trailing stop" he offered.

"Yup. That would have certainly helped" I said.

"And how was the new Trading Room?"
he asked.

"Extraordinary" I beamed.

"Indeed. How so?"

"Let me count the ways" I began. "First, I can speak to Jerry or Jenna or any Gemmer and they can respond. Jerry and Jenna post buy or short triggers, often with charts. I made several rather successful trades within minutes. And Jerry, who is the room's moderator most of the time, really keeps the room hopping...constantly answering questions, updating us on strong sectors. The fellow was clearly born to the position. And Jenna's triggers are immediate. When she says for example "COBT triggers on the 15-minute chart" or "enter QLGC with a buy-stop above the 30-minute high" I can enter my order within seconds and catch the run."

"Mmmm. But isn't the Trading Room cost rather expensive?" he asked.

"On the contrary. One trade pays for the month" I said. "And I've already paid for the month."

"But don't you prefer to swing trade? Why not stay with the old Gems site?"

"I am staying with the old Gems site. But while I like to swing trade, there are times when a quick in and out day trade is fortuitously profitable. And I continue to get great ideas from the other gemmers who post continuously."

"Do you think I should enter this trading room?" he asked.

I was rather taken aback by his question. Dortmunder has never, to my knowledge, listened to anyone, preferring his experience, high IQ and British sense of indepence. I'd have wagered a hundred pounds that his inflated and often infuriating ego would never allowed the thought of observing, much less joining, Jenna and Jerry in the trading room.

"Perhaps" I said. "It may not be for you. But you might take a free trial subscription, see if it's your cup of tea. You might be pleasantly surprised. And of course, you'd be able to converse with Jerry and Jenna. I think it would make for an interesting dialogue. We even have a Gemmer from your homeland, name of Cline. Sharp chap.

"Indeed."

"Quite" I said.
