Mani, who expects any announcement Monday? Transmeta is in pre-IPO QP.

But we do have hints from 'sources' within the companies (per ZDnet) about an exchange of patent rights.

Besides, it's hard to see it as anything but positive, given that Intel is a common competitor.

And since the market dropped on 'nothing', who knows, it might well run up on it. Plus we've got the split after the close on Monday.

Wasn't LDT supposed to be an open standard without royalty fees? I believe AMD stated that when they first presented it. Anyone can confirm this? How could a "licensing" deal with Transmeta work then? Or maybe Transmeta is only announcing that they will use LDT (for free) in some future CPU?
