hiya rosie,

i didn't get salt in my well water, it's just there. a lot of wells have hard water, but mine is soft and contains salt. i think it's in the form of CaCO3 with a ph of 8.
it's been a long time since chemistry; but, i think that is calcium carbonate. at any rate, it's building up salt and ph on soil that is already high ph. the water tastes great, just not good for continual irrigation and we only get about 15 inches of precipitation per year. you and scott the man need to send me some of that rain. the skies are smoky all day around here from all the forest fires.
