Only reason Bookham isn't yet a favorite among US investors is the company's focus on product development rather then flashy PR - same with Avanex. Imo BKHM & AVNX are just about the best way to invest in independent pure optic plays (unless you can participate in one of AmberNetworks' or Tellium's private placements) Now that they are optionable, you can even sell puts on Avanex and Bookham - what more do you want ? Gustaf PS. Only sell puts if you have the means to back up the purchase of the underlying stock - otherwise you get %-"! by their volatility. ( Long AVNX/BKHM common & calls - short puts )
