It has been about 3 years since I have last been to New England, but I am contemplating visiting sometime in the next year, so I may look into some of those things, although if I fly to Boston, it might not work.

I have usually stuck to 95, for example, visiting New Haven a few times. I have also spent time in Newport, RI. The oldest synagogue in the States is there, the Truro Synagogue, as well as numerous mansions and one of the most beautiful coastal drives I have seen. I have been to Boston a number of times, and visited Concord to see Emerson's house and Walden Pond. (There is a story that Emerson's second wife is a distant relative of my wife. I am not sure if it is documented, though. Funnily, there was a resemblance in a silhouette that was done of her). I have visited Plymouth, and Hyannisport. I even went up to see some of the private schools in Massachusetts, like Groton, on the way to Boston. That was one of the times I passed through Hartford. But somehow I never stopped in Hartford......
