BTW I saw Tom Waits at the Beacon in NYC fall of last year. He was awesome, totally exceeded my expectations. I haven't seen Maria Maldaur since I caught her and Jorma at the Nassau Community College Folk Fest around 1990. They played the same night the dead played at the Nassau Coliseum. When the Dead ended I stumbled right over but to my surprise not too many deadheads came over, I guess no one knew. I caught the last 3 songs of Maria's set and all of Jorma's. The place was 25% empty but when Jorma played a few years later I couldn't even get in. I never figured out how or why the few years made such a difference especially for an old act.
