DarkHorse specializes in low cost production testing of memory modules and has developed an upgrade to the Sigma 3 memory test system for testing RIMM's at speed. DSI's new machine is based on a Rambus RAC cell with the necessary control hardware around it to provide full functional AD and DC testing. This design offers the unique benefit of generating near ATE style tests while still being able to emulate chip set commands. The Sigma 3 model 800 is the only fully functional at speed tester with single site AC and DC testing that operates in a 28 ohm environment. While operating at speeds up to and above 800 MHz the Sigma 3 model 800 is still only a fraction of the cost of an ATE style tester and still offers the programmability and flexibility necessary to fully test RIMM's. DarkHorse will introduce information on RIMM testing and critical parameters and conditions in RIMM testing.
