I'm extremely concerned over loss of habitat that represents. The tropical forests, while an important sink are not helping as much as we hope. The bacterial action on the floor, recomposting the canopy actually works against us. No, I'm not saying that burning rainforest will solve our problem (that just puts Co2 into the air). What I am saying is that the growth of vegetation that will ultimately die and be returned to the cycle doesn't help.

In the event my whole family is killed. My entire assets go to the Nature Conservancy to buy rainforest. That is unlikely, but at least it shows I was thinking about it when I wrote my will.

We should all be concerned about unsustainable consumption. For the life of me, I can't figure out why this is so controversial. It's like we lived in a house with someone who ate more than their share, was obnoxiously flatulent, and didn't seem to care that the rest of us were being bothered by his behavior and intestinal condition. And we can't just open a window for more air and go to the store to buy more food.
