Elmer,

The price cuts indicate two things to me :

1. AMD needed to cut prices in order to increase sales.

2. AMD's management feels comfortable that they can manufacture and sell lots of 1GHz+ parts. i.e. $200+ parts.

What price cuts? Seems to me that when you add a speed grade or two and lop one off the bottom end, you just "adjust prices". AMD just added 1.1Mhz and 1.2Mhz is soon to follow...
When AMD was eternally behind in Mhz they felt this on a regular basis from Intel...
