Are talking about the Boston Tea Party subsidy? Cause I don't know about any historic subsidy of the North American or anywhere else oil business.

Try and find this book ou.edu if you are not closed minded you will enjoy immensely. OIL! Titan of the Southwest is also a great book. Both explain the historic development of the oil business and you will quickly and clearly see there is no subsidy.
