opera tip...

i know that in netscape, i can check on how much the cache files are growing by typing about:cache in the location, or url window.

i tried that in opera and got the cache directory, but not the numeric size. and it looks like after having entered the above command, it changed to opera:cache.

there are a bunch of other about: commands that can be used in netscape.... but i can't recall what the heck they are

:)

Gottfried, thread

staroffice browser update:

It appears to run faster then IE 5.0.

However, it a drawback which I cannot overcome. I use two chat rooms during the day as well as having 6-8 web pages open at all times. When I enlarge the web pages in IE they sit on top of the chat rooms. With staroffice the chat rooms stay in front and I must minimize every time I want to browse a web page. This slows down the process considerably.

When I browse without need for chat rooms I will use staroffice.

EDIT: found the fix. Scratch the drawback.

EDIT2: found a problem with the fix. Bondo the drawback.
