To: Paris who wrote (14264 ) 8/20/2000 3:28:27 PM From: Jon Tara Respond to of 18366 I'm afraid that that RB post about Carl and myself is WAY off-target. ADNC is an Internet Service Provider. They are one of the larger local San Diego Internet providers. ADNC and Connectnet, my ISP, have been rivals for years, sharing the #2 spot against local biggie CTSNet. My assumption, then, would be that Carl uses ADNC as an Internet Service Provider, not that he works for them. But that can be easily confirmed by checking with ADNC or just asking Carl. The post then tries to strech things even further by pointing out that one of the web sites that ADNC *hosts* (as an Internet Service Provider) is ArtistDirect, some kind of music-oriented site. Wow, surprise, surprise - Carl's ISP has a client that has a music site! Imagine that! What next, a grassy knoll? (The page that stocksanity pointed-to CLEARLY states that ArtistDirect is a CLIENT. So, even if Carl DOES work for ADNC - which I presume he does NOT - SO WHAT?) Betcha you can find some client of Connectnet or @Home (my two ISPs) that are somehow involved in the music industry. The conspiracy can then be complete, LOL! Guess what? I have it on good authority that PartyTime's mailman hums a happy tune EVERY DAY as he delivers the mail! CONSPIRACY. PartyTime is involved in the music industry! It is true that both Carl and I live in San Diego - certainly not a secret. We have never met, and I've never spoken to Carl on the phone, though we've exchanged a couple of e-mails. I've never heard of ArtistDirect until today. Of course, facts are not necessary when posting for the EDIG side, right? You people are REALLY getting desparate! This is more than connecting dots - it's making up the dots yourself!
