And don't forget that Intel's warranty is a proven one. With millions of chips replaced for FDIV error, and hundreds of thousands of motherboards replaced for the MTH data corruption issue, buyers can be confident that Intel will replace their quite likely defective Intel product if need be.

What track record can AMD point to in response? By never shipping millions of defective products, they've left doubts in the minds of purchasers. If AMD were ever to ship defective parts - Intel style, would they handle it as well as Intel did?

Those weren't bugs, they served to demonstrate a feature!
