Scumbria, Re: I think that Dell is already buying large volumes of 1.5GHz Athlons.

I don't think that this is funny anymore (especially after repeating it over and over again). IMO Jim made some good points and IMO it's also very likely that >1.1 GHz parts are already in production in Dresden.

Scumbria,

One point that you seem to forget is that Dell is a big provider of x86 corporate servers. Will Mickey really ignore the Mustang and wait until the Foster? Will he close his eyes on all the $10K server sales that compaq is stealing with Dual 1.0-1.2 GHz Mustangs DDR266 that will perform as fast as RMBS or PC100 Quad XEON 700 for a third of the price?

I think your sarcasm have been appropriate for the last 6-9 months, but you should start to consider Dell more seriously.

Then, if Dell finally divorce with Intel, why not start to consider Durons, Mobile Mustangs and Durons and so on...

Dell needs Intel as much as Intel needs Dell so Andy can't really sulk Mickey for finally waking up.

But it's not very probable to see a K7 from Dell before December.
