Amy, right now probably is not a good time if you are trying to daytrade or swing trade AMD. In my experience, Kash, on moderated thread, is the best swing trader on thread, and he sold Friday at 69 7/8. For a swing trader you are always looking for pullbacks to a certain moving average and you invest shortly after the rebound. The problem is the Naz. has rebounded for 5 days straight and so has AMD so its a little late for a swing trade right now. Ted's advice makes greater sense because the timing on long term trades is minor compared to long term; fundamentals are more important than TA. If you want to be short term, shorten your stop up to approx, 2-4% of price, take a limited profit if possible,by selling 1/2 position at 4% , and keep raising stop to 1/2 to 1/8 below previous days low on balance. Tuesday should be huge. If Alan hints rate hikes or over, the race to new yearly highs on both Naz and Dow might start. On the other hand, the hint of Nov. hikes could deal a severe blow.
