i did run into a couple small snags while downloading netscape4.75, donnacat. i'll cover them for you, fwiw first, i wanted to download without smartdownload, for assorted reasons i will not go into at this time. well, twice that led to "unable to write to file' errors at about 62% completion. (i have cable modem so download times are not lengthy.) so i relented and opted for smartdownload. while not receiving anymore of the above terminations, twice the smartdownload stopped and gave me the message, "not enough disk space. please create more space then resume." not enough disk space? i must have 10+ gb of free space on my hd. <g3> so i just clicked ok , then resume. it gave me that same "more space" message two times in all. very strange. re your question, "did you try any of Fred Langa's suggestions?", i'd have to ask, for what? yes, i have tried some of his memory suggestions awhile back, and quite possibly a few other tips. hard to recall. and i can open more than five netscape windows with no crash probs. good luck on your next try with 4.75 :) mark
