Mike,

"Never invest in a company based in Florida" is a pretty good rule, too. (Also, avoid Canadian companies until after they merge with a U.S. company, their statements become more closely scrutinized by the SEC, and you have proof their execs have enough smarts to relocate away from Canadian tax rates. :>)
