mr mark, I had the active X problem on ignore, then took the ignore off. I want windoctor to feel useful. :) I'm really checking out laptops now. So far no clear favorite. Dell has an edge because of the 3 year warranty. Most others only have one year. Also checking out wireless LANs [desktop to laptop]. Looks like Intel's is the cheapest and the name helps. It will be at least a month before I buy. Quantex looks good pricewise. I think I want a laptop with 600MHz/128MB/14.1"/12GB/ or higher. Quantex offers Win 2000 professional, but I don't want two different OS. They give a credit of $40 if you take Win 98 instead. I just wish everyone would shut up about 'road warriors'. I want the laptop for sitting under the shade tree. :) Gottfried
